Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to supplement her budget. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox became part of the group Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However she left before the band went to I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop group. They met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her debut solo album Diva. It was released in the year 1992. It was a massive success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo record was released in November 2014. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul songs. Lepidoptera is a collection of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. is a companion piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... It is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25, 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish political activist and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when she gained a little fame when part of The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo career in 1992, with the release of Diva, which featured many of her most popular songs such as Why and the song Walking On Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album contains cover versions of songs including No MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. She has released six solo studio albums and compilation albums. |
