Arike Ogunbowale

Arike is an American basketball player who is a member of the Dallas Wings, a team that is part of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was selected as the 5th selection overall during the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale was born the 2nd of March 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale, who is 26 years old, is her brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years old. Hers was the youngest of children of her family, and her parents spoiled her the best. Her high school career was comprised of 73 starts with 1,477 points in her career and 739 career rebounds. Ogunbowale participated in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and was awarded Gold medals at both. In July of 2014 she was picked as a player on the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale has also been selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team for her first ever collegiate experience.
